“The Paraguayan General Directorate of Migration informs national authorities, security agencies, migrant personnel and citizens that several FALSIFIED TEMPORARY ADMISSION CARDS are in circulation, used by foreign citizens who declare themselves to be citizens of the “Kingdom of San Esteban” (Reinado de San Esteban), carrying apocryphal provisional passports (SALVOCONDUCTOS).

The detection of the fraudulent documents occurred after an attempt to enter the country by migratory inspectors from the Silvio Pettirossi Airport Control Station. The holders of the false documents were a group of seven people, among them a minor, supposedly members of a single family. The case has already been reported and referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for due investigation.

The DGM alerts the authorities about this situation and urges the citizenry to report any incident related to the entry or stay of foreigners in an irregular situation, communicating with the Migration Security Operative Unit of the General Directorate of Migration:

There is no such country, nation or kingdom as San Sebastian. This Saint was the first king of the Hungarians (975-1038). The illegal immigrants declared that they belong to San Esteban de Litera, which is a Spanish municipality in the province of Huesca.
