What is a residency by investment program?
A residency by investment program is a legal and financial process that requires a foreign national to invest in another country to become resident. The resident status can be permanent and temporary. The residency by investment can lead to citizenship but not in all cases.

I think Canada is easier, but you can move to Australia as well if you have the necessary amount of investment.

It depends on your citizenship. If you are from a country, where you need entry visas to travel, there will be difficulties. Also, the form of entrance, I mean if you are high-skilled, there are several countries, where you can get temporary or permanent resident status.

What is your objective? What is cheap? There are several residency by investment programmes with very different requirements. I believe the cheapest solutions are the Malta Global Residence and the Paraguayan SUACE programmes.

You don’t list Vanuatu which has some world class residence by investment schemes. It also offers citizenship by investment.
