{"id":2677,"date":"2020-08-15T12:06:21","date_gmt":"2020-08-15T12:06:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tucanoprod.com\/?p=2677"},"modified":"2020-08-15T13:58:01","modified_gmt":"2020-08-15T13:58:01","slug":"paraguay_permanent_residency_from_abroad_online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tucanoprod.com\/en\/paraguay_permanent_residency_from_abroad_online\/","title":{"rendered":"Paraguay Permanent Residency from Abroad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The General Directorate of Migrations announced that foreigners who are outside Paraguay could start their temporary and <strong>permanent residency<\/strong> (settlement) procedures under the\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Legal Representation Regime from abroad.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>The new regulation to get Paraguay permanent residency from abroad<\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This new &#8220;Legal Representation Regime&#8221; allows the foreigners who can&#8217;t enter Paraguay because of the coronavirus pandemics to apply for the Paraguayan Permanent Residence permit from abroad because the border is still closed (10\/8\/2020).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This strategy of admission of files enables for the\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">temporary and permanent residency of foreign citizens of any nationality.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As well as for temporary and permanent residency under the Mercosur residence agreement for citizens of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, they all may apply through the new system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">However, the General Directorate of Migration clarifies that,\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">after the reopening of national borders in Paraguay<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, the applicant who applied under this modality will have\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">a period of up to 6 (six) months to enter the country and attach the requirements processed<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0in Paraguay (to finalise the process of the requested filing).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Likewise, the Directorate emphasises that the admission of the documents at the Migration Directorate does not presuppose the granting of the Paraguayan permanent resident status.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">How can you become a permanent resident of Paraguay from abroad?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ip.gov.py\/ip\/extranjeros-podran-iniciar-sus-tramites-de-radicacion-desde-el-exterior\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">official announcement<\/a><\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, we (as a local and registered legal service provider) can support your application from abroad.
