The programme was created to repatriate formerly Paraguayan researchers and scientists, but Paraguay welcomes foreigners and grants permanent residence permit for the high-skilled applicants.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The National Council of Science and Technology, within the framework of the &#8220;ProCiencia Program&#8221;, invites interested institutions to present candidates for the Repatriation and Filing Program for Foreign Researchers in Paraguay. This tool is aimed at incorporating highly qualified professionals from abroad, through universities or institutions dedicated to scientific and technological research, &#8220;said the agency.<\/p>\n<p>This call is addressed to universities, academic centres, institutes or governmental or non-governmental research centres, public or private, associated with academic centres. All must have substantial experience in R &amp; D management, individually or in an associative manner.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The main objective of the program is to promote the recruitment or recovery of highly qualified professionals to strengthen national human capital. Through the repatriation of Paraguayan researchers-scientists and <strong>the permanent or temporary linkage of foreign researchers-scientists who wish to settle in the country<\/strong>, &#8220;said the Council, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/cienciadelsur.com\/2018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cienciadelsur<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Proposed Researchers may be foreigners of qualification with a desire to settle in Paraguay institutionally proposed for the consolidation of research groups and promote or strengthen new lines\/areas of research.<\/p>\n<p>Necessary documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Application Form for the Institutional Proposal<\/li>\n<li>Letter of the Institution<\/li>\n<li>Memorandum of Understanding<\/li>\n<li>Letter of Commitment from the Institution<\/li>\n<li>Letter of Commitment from the Researcher<\/li>\n<li>Reference letter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More information on the promotion of the scientific career in Paraguay can be found in Spanish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conacyt.gov.py\/pronii\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>!<\/p>\n<h2>Step by Step Guide to the Paraguayan Researcher&#8217;s Residence Programme<\/h2>\n<p>1. You have to read the Terms and Conditions and all Guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>2. Apply through the CONACYT \u2013 SPI site at the following option: &#8220;Programa de Repatriaci\u00f3n y Radicaci\u00f3n de Investigadores del Exterior en el Paraguay.&#8221;<br \/>\nComplete the Application Form<br \/>\nComplete, sign and validate all necessary documents.<br \/>\nAt this stage, you must verify your level of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conacyt.gov.py\/taxonomy\/term\/36\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PRONII<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>3. Admission<br \/>\nThe prospects, who entered the evaluation process and meet the conditions may continue.<\/p>\n<p>4. Evaluation<br \/>\nApplications once admitted, will be evaluated by Multidisciplinary Teams that will be set up for each stage of the process, who will take into account the criteria for the evaluation established in the Bases and Conditions Guide.<\/p>\n<p>5.
